Brief presentation of the association:

Founded in 1986 by two Angevin art lovers, the association Presence of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, (PACA) lies in a cultural original away from the commercial market and institutional proposals. She quickly became a real company and can now claim to be one of the largest associations of contemporary art in France. The ambition of PACA, through roadshows high level (in France and Europe), to make available contemporary art to the greatest number. Receiving no public assistance permanent PACA primarily finances its manifestations: the co-tenancy of its exhibitions and museums to host cities, sale catalogs and art books and prints it publishes, corporate sponsorship (especially in Angers and Laval), the occasional partnership with the department of Maine-et-Loire or with the City of Angers, the contributions of its members.

Its main vocations:

Organize high-level exposures. Encouraging acquisitions and collections specific. Edit prints and works of art. Raise awareness of young designers. Awareness of the art of our time the world of school and all age groups. Foster creative synergy between the art world and the world of business.

In a little over 23 years of existence, PACA has organized nearly 150 high-level events and affected more than sixty museums in France, from Nice to Saint-Omer St-Jean-de-Luz in Strasbourg. Its action is based on volunteer support of 180 members and a dozen delegations strategically located throughout the French territory and in several European countries. The annual membership fee is currently set at 20 € (5 € for students and job seekers).

PACA activity is organized around five major divisions
: the "International Center", the "National Center", which aims to organize an annual exhibit in Anjou "prestige" The "Regional Pole" also known as PACA / Heritage "which aims to invest a place with character and Angevin to exhibit predominantly artists Angevin quality.
